Going through a divorce is difficult and complicated enough without the parties involved being immature. Of course, acting like an adult can be hard work, especially for those not naturally inclined to do so. However, immature behavior can and will come back to haunt you and can make your negotiating position a lot harder to maintain when your immaturity is put on display in a court of law.
