THE IMPORTANCE OF A FATHER IN A CHILD'S LIFE
A Summary from Blake & Associates Law Firm
By Derek Williams
The typical dad is often viewed as less than competent, falling asleep in his favorite chair, or completely obsessed with sports, but the importance of a father in a child’s life cannot be overstated. Boys learn how to become men by watching how their dads do it. Girls learn what it means to be loved, respected, and protected, as well as how to properly relate to men from their dads. Dads perform these critical tasks in three ways: by work, by play, and of course, by example.
